I spent some time trying to understand this sign at Occupy Sydney
if you have money you have food
if you don’t have money then why are you talking about how you can’t eat it?
unless you have money but not enough of it for food…
in which case what the hell are you spending it on if not food?
unless this is actually Soviet Russia and the shittiness of central planning means you have money but no bread
BUT THEN I THOUGHT WE WERE UPSET ABOUT THE FACT THAT THE EVIL BANKS CAN DO WHATEVER THEY WANT
Can you decipher the meaning behind this sign?

I think it’s alluding to the fact that we’re destroying our agriculturally productive land in the pursuit of profit. It could be profit from mining, selling land to property developers, or attempting to turn a quick buck with unsustainable farming methods that damage the land and make it unproductive long term.
