I Don’t Like It - Pauline Pantsdown
Pauline Pantsdown is a phenomenal parody of one of Australia’s most vocally racist ex-politicians, Pauline Hanson. Actually, Pauline Hanson is most similar to Sarah Palin, except that Pauline ran with the One Nation party, who were a party devoted to racism, and not the Liberals, who are our versions of Republicans.
This song uses nothing but actual quotes from Pauline Hanson, and it’s basically the best song in the world.
Love Pauline Pants down.
My favourite thing was when one of the two idiots that ran One Nation was going on about how single mothers were creating gay children IN FRONT OF PAULINE HANSON (WHO IS A SINGLE MOTHER).
MAN YOU GUYS
DO YOU REMEMBER THAT TIME
THAT ONE OF PAULINE PANTSDOWNS’ SONGS
MADE IT INTO THE HOTTEST 100
BUT THEY WEREN’T ALLOWED TO PLAY IT???
BECAUSE SHE WAS SUING THEM
TRYING TO GET IT ALL TAKEN OFF THE AIR
so instead
they got an impersonator in
to recite some speech she’d given
about the importance of freedom of speech
it was

I feel a bit torn, because, on the one hand, I love Australia for creating Pauline Pantsdown, but then I also kind of hate Australia for creating Pauline Hanson. Either one could only happen here…
Hanson was disendorsed as a Liberal candidate (for her views on race and other races) after nominations closed for the 1996 election.
